Following the excitement of the House Regatta, join us for the Boat Club Dinner in The Great Hall. Please ensure tickets are booked for parents and all Canford Rowers attending. Due to limited capacity, the dinner is only open to rowing pupils and their parents (not siblings).
There will be a drinks reception in the Long Gallery followed by a spectacular 3 course meal accompanied by speeches and prizes.
We are delighted to announce that Matt Aldridge will be joining us as this year’s speaker.
Rowing is a family passion for Matt, nurtured by his father, Steve, a dedicated coach at Christchurch Rowing Club. Growing up, Matt spent countless hours watching his dad coach before training under him at Christchurch. His biggest supporter, his nan, has been a constant source of encouragement throughout his journey.
Matt’s rowing career has been marked by resilience and determination. After missing the 2022 World Rowing Championships due to COVID, he returned stronger in 2023, helping the GB men’s four remain unbeaten, defend their World Championship title, and qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics. His dedication paid off when he proudly won a bronze medal in the Men’s Four at the 2024 Olympic Rowing Regatta alongside Oli Wilkes, David Ambler, and Freddie Davidson.
