An Exclusive Evening at the Tower of London
Join us for an evening of drinks and canapés at the Fusilier Museum, set within the historic walls of the Tower of London. This unique event offers the opportunity to reunite and network with fellow Old Canfordians in one of the most iconic and atmospheric locations in the country.
Guests will enjoy full access to the Fusilier Museum throughout the evening, exploring its remarkable collections and stories in a private setting. Drinks and canapés will be served as you soak up the history of this extraordinary venue, normally closed to the public after hours.
For those wishing to make the evening even more memorable, there is the rare opportunity to attend The Ceremony of the Keys, a centuries-old tradition that has taken place every night for over 700 years. This solemn and symbolic ceremony sees the Chief Yeoman Warder, escorted by soldiers, secure the Tower for the night using the King’s Keys, concluding with the proclamation “God preserve King Charles” and the sounding of The Last Post. The ceremony protects the Crown Jewels and the Tower’s treasures and has never been cancelled, having only once been delayed during the Second World War!
Exclusive access to the Ceremony of the Keys is very limited and will take place at 21.30. Interest must be expressed at the time of booking.
All guests must book in advance. Exact names will be checked on entry to the Tower of London complex, and admission will not be possible without prior registration. All guests must exit the Tower by 21.15, excluding those attending the Ceremony of the Keys.
We are most grateful to General Sir Roger Wheeler (Chris Wheeler’s father) for enabling Canford to use this remarkable venue.
Places are limited, and early booking is strongly recommended for what promises to be a truly unforgettable evening.
Drinks ticket: £36.00 per person (£11.00 for full-time students) inc. VAT
Canford is subsidising ticket prices for this event.
