Last Friday, we held our annual Careers Convention for pupils in the Lower Sixth and for visiting pupils from Canford's partner school, The Bourne Academy. Over 60 Old Canfordians, current & former parents came to Canford for a day of networking, panel sessions and one-on-ones. Industries represented included Business Management, Environmental & Green, Finance, Medicine and Technology.
The aim of the annual convention is to enable Sixth Formers to learn more about career paths beyond school from parents and OCs and to build connections which could lead to mentoring or even work experience opportunities.
We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers who gave up their time to attend the day and we look forward to sharing a film short of the day with you soon.
