Last Friday, we were delighted to host our annual Careers Convention for Lower Sixth pupils.
We were joined by over 70 Old Canfordians, current & former parents and members of the wider community, representing a wide range of industries including Academia, Finance, Law and Medicine. Through a combination of panel sessions, networking opportunities and one-on-one conversations, pupils were able to gain valuable insight into potential career pathways and ask thoughtful, informed questions.
The aim of the Careers Convention is to broaden pupils’ understanding of life beyond school, while also helping them to build meaningful connections that could lead to future mentoring or work experience opportunities. It was encouraging to see pupils approach these conversations with such enthusiasm and professionalism.
We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers for giving up their time and sharing their expertise so generously. Their contributions play a vital role in shaping and inspiring our pupils as they begin to consider their next steps.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Moore Barlow, our event sponsor, for their continued support for a second year.
