Old Canfordians |
OC Tabitha Tennant's B15 journey to authorship began during her time at Canford, where she first explored the life of Jasper Tudor for her Baynham Essay in the Lower Sixth. Encouraged by Keith Hay and supported by the library staff, who sourced key research materials, her fascination with this overlooked historical figure was sparked.
Years later, while studying for her Legal Practice Course, she revisited the topic as a creative outlet, which evolved into The Sons of Prophecy, a gripping novel set during one of Britain’s most tumultuous periods.
Now, with just nine months until she qualifies as a solicitor, Tabitha is preparing to share her debut work with the world. Released last week, the novel reimagines history through the eyes of Jasper Tudor, Earl of Pembroke. Congratulations to Tabitha on this extraordinary achievement, her Canford community will be cheering her on as readers dive into her captivating tale of loyalty and destiny!
