We are thrilled to congratulate OC Adam Phillips L20 on his incredible achievement in winning the MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition in the voice category! Adam, who is currently studying in the USA, has showcased his exceptional vocal talent on a national stage, standing out among some of the most gifted young musicians in the country.
Hosted in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Competitions are among the most prestigious student music competitions in the United States, with thousands of entrants vying for top honours each year. The competition provides a platform for young musicians to develop their craft, gain performance experience, and be recognised for their outstanding talent.
This year, the Brass and Voice Young Artist Performance Competitions followed a rigorous two-tiered structure. Competitors from across the nation first submitted video performances for the preliminary round. From this nationwide pool, only seven finalists were selected to compete live at the MTNA National Conference, an extraordinary accomplishment in itself. Adam’s victory at the final round is a testament to his dedication, artistry, and the countless hours of practice that have shaped him into the remarkable musician he is today.
We are immensely proud of Adam’s success and look forward to seeing where his musical journey takes him next. Congratulations, Adam!
