Old Canfordians |
We’re thrilled to share some outstanding achievements from our Old Canfordians who competed at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Regatta, held from 2 to 5 May 2025 at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.
Olly Stuart S23, Martha Warren-Barratt D22 and Dan Coupe L24 represented Newcastle University and played a key role in helping their team secure the prestigious Victor Ludorum. This is awarded to the most successful university overall at the regatta and marks a brilliant team accomplishment.
Imy Woodcock D23 (Newcastle University) delivered a gold medal-winning performance in the fiercely contested Championship Coxed Fours, showcasing incredible teamwork and determination.
Meanwhile, Buzz Borneman D22 (Oxford Brookes) powered to a bronze medal in the Championship Eights, one of the regatta’s most competitive events.
We are incredibly proud of our OC rowers. Your talent, commitment and perseverance continue to inspire the Canford community. Congratulations on your success and we look forward to following your future rowing journeys.
