Last Thursday saw the annual golf match between current Canford pupils and Old Canfordians take place in glorious sunshine. With the course looking magnificent, both teams enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of golf played in great spirit.
The OC team was made up of Chris Kerr (SH01), Morgan Tylor (W19), Roy Baylis (F67), Neil Watkins (Former Staff), Phil Effick (Current Staff), and Ben Richards (B84). The pupils put in an excellent performance and, despite strong play from the OCs, emerged with a 3–1 victory on the day.
The match was followed by a shared meal. It was a truly enjoyable occasion, demonstrating once again the special connections between Canfordians across the generations.
Forget the Ryder Cup – this was the real highlight of the golfing calendar!
