On Saturday 11th October, we welcomed back the Class of 1976 for their 50-year reunion lunch. For some Old Canfordians, it was a familiar return, having visited the school multiple times over the years and maintained close friendships. For others, it marked the first visit in decades, a chance to reconnect with former classmates and revisit the school that shaped so many memories.

The afternoon began with lunch, where attendees caught up on life since leaving Canford and shared reflections on their school days. Following the meal, Keith Hay led a guided tour of the campus, offering OCs the opportunity to see how the school has evolved while revisiting spaces that held particular significance to them. Reunions are always one of our favourite events to organise in the Development Office, the stories and anecdotes OCs share from their time at Canford are fascinating, often full of surprises, humour, and little known glimpses into the school’s past.

The reunion was a meaningful reminder of the connections that endure long after leaving Canford and the shared experiences that continue to bring the community together.
