Canford recently had the pleasure of welcoming back a talented group of OC Artists for an inspiring working lunch with our current Art pupils. The event offered a unique opportunity for pupils to hear first-hand from alumni who are navigating the early stages of their creative careers.
Serena Chen Ma23 (Architecture), Louisa Borneman D22 (Fine Art), Charlotte Gibbons W24 (Costume) and Hannah Jeffrey W25 (Art & Design) shared their journeys from Canford to university, showcasing their portfolios and discussing the challenges and opportunities they have encountered along the way. They also kindly took time to answer pupils’ questions, providing practical advice and personal reflections on life beyond school.
Hearing from OCs who are still studying and developing their careers proved especially valuable for Sixth Formers considering their next steps post-Canford. The session left pupils feeling inspired and motivated, many eager to return home and put their own creativity into action.
The school would like to extend a huge thank you to Serena, Louisa, Charlotte and Hannah for giving their time so generously. It was a wonderful reminder of the impact Canford alumni continue to have on the school community, and we look forward to seeing the next chapters of their creative journeys unfold.
