| Old Canfordians |
It was a pleasure to welcome back Old Canfordian Inca Benton-Jones S25, who recently returned to Canford to speak to our Upper Sixth pupils about her reflections on her first year at university.
Inca shared her experiences of making the transition from school to university, offering valuable insights and practical advice to pupils preparing for their own next steps. One particularly memorable tip was to consider joining a university sports team, even if you do not necessarily intend to play regularly. As Inca explained, being part of a team can bring so many social benefits, providing an easy way to meet new people, make friends and feel part of the university community.
It was wonderful to hear Inca's reflections and see her passing on advice to the next generation of Canfordians as they prepare for life beyond school.
We always love welcoming Old Canfordians back to Canford, and Inca's visit also provided an opportunity to show her around our new College Residence. The building was under construction for much of her time at Canford, so it was lovely to give her a quick tour and let her see the finished result!
