We would like to share an initiative from Alice Herbert D22, who is preparing to donate more than 14 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust at the beginning of January in memory of her mum, Helen, who passed away from breast cancer in December 2024.
Losing hair can be one of the most challenging parts of cancer treatment. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to children and young people up to the age of 24, helping to restore confidence and identity at a difficult time. The charity covers all associated costs including making, fitting, and styling the wigs, and it also supports research into kinder and more effective treatments for childhood cancers through its Hair and Hope mission.
Alice has been growing her hair for over two years in preparation for this donation and is also raising funds to support the charity’s continued work.
If you would like to learn more or support her fundraising, her JustGiving page can be found here.
What a wonderful thing to do in honour of her mum, and we wish Alice every success.
