It was a real pleasure to welcome back the Class of 1996 for their reunion lunch on Saturday 14th March, held on what can only be described as a truly glorious sunny day at Canford. The warmth of the sunshine was matched by the atmosphere, as OCs reconnected over drinks, sharing stories and reminiscing about their time at school.
Guests travelled from near and far to be part of the occasion, creating a wonderfully vibrant gathering. The buzz of conversation in the Long Gallery set the tone for a fantastic afternoon, filled with laughter and the easy familiarity of old friendships picking up right where they left off.
One of the joys of a reunion like this is the mix of OCs who return. Some had not stepped foot back on Canford soil since the day they left, while others remain closely connected to the school. On Saturday, one OC had even dropped off his son, a current pupil, that very morning, with stories and connections to Canford spanning many years.
Following a delicious lunch, guests enjoyed the opportunity to explore the school and revisit familiar spaces, sparking plenty of conversation and reflection on how Canford has evolved over the years while still holding on to so much that feels reassuringly the same.
There was a real sense of occasion throughout the afternoon as friendships were celebrated and memories fondly shared. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us.
We look forward to welcoming the Class of 1986 for their reunion on Saturday 18th April.
